Editing Release: Defilement and Other Stories

A book that I edited has recently been released into the wild! Woohoo!

Author Jesse Nolan Bailey approached me awhile back to ask if I would be interested in doing developmental edits for a short story collection of his. Jesse writes primarily in dark fantasy (check out his A Disaster of Dokojin series), but he was looking to slide into the horror arena and wanted my help as an editor who reads a LOT of horror.

Since I was involved I won’t commit on the quality of the stories or my opinion of the collection, BUT I will say I had a lot of fun working with Jesse and I think there’s a lot of really interesting ideas at play here. Definitely something for everyone when it comes to fans of the weird and horrifying.

About the Author

Enthralled by the magic that written stories contain, Jesse Nolan Bailey has always wanted to be an author. With a passion for dark fantasy and horror, he spends much of his time pondering the more troubling aspects of the human experience and then translating those ruminations onto the page, much to the delight of his readers. He lives in Western North Carolina with his partner, where the pair do their best to appease their zoo of cats and dogs.
